Projects
WHAT IS A PROJECT?
In 4-H, the activities members participate in are called projects. When you choose a project, you can learn everything there is to know about that topic. You will participate in various hands-on activities, learn new skills, do community service, and more!
There are 5 major topic areas:
Agriculture & Livestock
Family & Community Health
Leadership & Citizenship
Natural Resources
Science, Technology, Engineering & Math
2024-25 Texas 4-H Project List
If you have interests in other topics that are not on this list, you can have a self-determined project. Visit with Sierra or Kaci and they'll help you get started!
PROJECT RECORD FORM
2024-25 Lynn County Project Record Form
The purpose of a project record form is to help 4-H'ers keep records of their 4-H project work. This information is important to keep for record books, awards applications, point sheets, scholarships, and more.
Steps to completing a Project Record Form:
Pick your project. If it is not on the project list, then it is a self-determined project.
Set goals for your project. What do you want to learn? What do you want to do in your project? How do you want to share your project with others?
Keep a list of the activities you do within the project. These can be project meetings, workshops, tours, videos watched, clinics, contests, etc. This does NOT include community service or leadership activities.
Keep a list of what you did to teach others in your project. This is leadership. Did you do a demonstration? Did you lead a workshop?
Keep a list of what you did to serve others in your project. This is community service. How did you help others?
List any awards or recognition you received in your project.
List anything you did to explore careers in your project.
Click on the links below for all of the information for each project. These are the projects currently available in Lynn County.
