2024 LYNN COUNTY STOCK SHOW CONCESSION STAND
Thursday, January 11, 2024 and Friday, January 12, 2024
Lynn County Stock Show Barn--9th Street & Ave K in Tahoka
WORKERS NEEDED
Shifts are available on Thursday, January 11 and Friday, January 12
Adults are needed each shift
Shifts on Friday morning also have a spot for an adult to man the griddle for pancakes.
Youth in 6th grade or older also have some shifts available. NO YOUTH YOUNGER THAN 6TH GRADE will be allowed to work.
Please do not bring younger children who are not working as there is limited space in the concession stand.
FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED
To help maximize the profits, we need families to help donate food for the concession stand.
Drop-off will be on Wednesday, January 10 from 5:00-7:00 at the Stock Show Barn.
For those signing up for Cookies, Brownies & Rice Krispie Treats:
Rachel Case has offered to make the treats for you and deliver them to the stock show.
The cost is $8 per dozen.
You will need to contact Rachel to make arrangements. Her cell phone is 806-577-7791.
If Rachel is doing your order, please make sure you also sign up on the Sign Up Genius so we know how many we have coming and so that you get credit.
CONCESSION STAND SPONSORS NEEDED
Another community service opportunity available is to be a Concession Stand sponsor. Make a monetary donation and be recognized as a sponsor.
Money donated will go towards the cost of the pulled pork, sausage, and supplies needed for the concession stand.
The more that is donated, the larger the profit margin we will have.
If you know of any businesses that would like to be a sponsor, feel free to share with them as well!
2023 RAFFLE TICKET SALES
Sales begin Monday, June 26, and close Tuesday, August 1.
Tickets will NOT be mailed out this year. You must either pick tickets up at the County Extension Office (please call before you make a trip to Tahoka) or through scheduled pick-up times in New Home. Tickets MUST be signed for.
Tickets are $5.00 per ticket.
Each 4-H'er is responsible for selling 10 tickets. If you sell at least your 10 tickets, then the Adult Leaders Association will pay for all of your contest entry fees for the next 4-H year.
Prize drawing will be held during the Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 5.
You may post on Facebook or other social media sites to sell your tickets!
Please make sure your name is on all of your tickets.

Fees that are covered are District and State 4-H-sanctioned contests. This does not include jackpots, stock shows, contests at stock shows, invitational judging contests, etc.
Tickets, money, and any unsold tickets must be turned back into the County Extension Office by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 25th.
CHANGES THIS YEAR
4-H'ers who do NOT sell their 10 tickets will NOT have their contest entry fees paid for by the Adult Leader Association. You will be responsible for paying for your own contest entry fees.
Due to state and federal laws, we are unable to give prizes for ticket sales. Your reward for selling your tickets is that all contest fees will be covered. Also, you get 1 point for each ticket you sell in the points system (click the link for more information).
ENTERING 3RD GRADERS
You are encouraged to go ahead and sell tickets to cover your contest entry fees for next year!
