GENERAL INFORMATION
This is an individual contest.
The County Fashion Show will serve as a practice contest for District. This will give you an opportunity to practice your interviewing and modeling skills in front of a judge.
All 4-H'ers (not Clover Kids) can compete at the District Fashion Show regardless of placing at the County Fashion Show.

COST
$15 per person
If you sold 10 or more raffle tickets in 2024, or are a first-year 4-H'er, then your fees are covered by the Lynn County Adult Leaders Association. If you register for the contest but do not end up competing, then you will be responsible for reimbursing your entry fee and will receive an invoice from Lynn County 4-H.
If you did not sell raffle tickets, then you will be responsible for paying your entry fee. You will receive an invoice from Lynn County 4-H. If you do not compete, you are still responsible for paying the entry fee. Those fees are not returned once registration has been completed.
Please ignore any invoices/requests for payment that come from anyone other than Lynn County 4-H.

TEXAS 4-H ROUNDUP CONTEST INFORMATION
SENIORS ONLY
Contest Date: Tuesday, June 3, 2025
1st place winners at District in each category advance to the state level, for a total of 8 4-H'ers from each district.
There is a National Contest for Fashion Show in which Texas can send up to four individuals to compete. All categories (construction, buying, and natural fiber) first place winners will have the opportunity to compete to earn one of the national contest spots. Guidelines will be sent to 4-H'ers via email before the Texas 4-H Roundup Fashion Show.

JUNIORS & INTERMEDIATES
You can choose to construct your outfit or purchase.
Construction Division--Garments may be constructed by sewing, knitting, or crocheting. Accessories may be purchased. A minimum of one garment is all that is necessary to enter the construction category. Other garments worn with the entered garment may be purchased or constructed.
Buying Division--Garments that are purchased. A minimum of one garment is all that is necessary to enter the buying category. Other garments worn with the garment entered may be purchased or constructed.

Each contestant will have 5 minutes for the interview and modeling for the judges. Please keep your modeling to a maximum of 20 seconds to allow more time for the interview.
There will be 2-3 judges.

SENIORS
You can choose to construct your outfit or purchase.
Construction Division--Garments may be constructed by sewing, knitting, or crocheting. Accessories may be purchased. All garments worn that are visible during the interview process must be constructed. Close-fitting legwear, tights, and pantyhose do not need to be constructed.
Buying Division--All garments worn that are visible during the interview process must be purchased and included on the buying entry form.
Natural Fiber Division--Seniors may enter one category in the Natural Fiber Division, as well as one other category in either the Buying or Construction division at the District level. One top-scoring individual in each of the two natural fiber categories will advance to the Texas 4-H Natural Fiber Competition regardless of placing in the fashion show divisions. Please refer to the Senior Fashion Show Participant Guide for more information.

4-H'ers will give a 5-minute presentation to the team of judges. Each contestant will introduce themselves and model their garment to the judges. Then, they will provide a 5-minute presentation in which the 4-H'er will describe their project activities, outfit selection, construction or buying skills, and their knowledge of fiber and fabrics. After the presentation, judges will have the opportunity to ask each participant questions from the list as well as questions related directly to the participant's garment or project experiences.
