SCHEDULE
Contest for all age groups will begin that morning.
Schedule will be staggered much like Food Challenge.
The schedule will be posted as soon as it is released!
Awards will be on the District 2 Facebook page that evening.
The top 3 in each category will be announced at the Fashion Show Awards around 3:45 PM (It is ok if you cannot be there!)

AGE GROUPS & TEAMS
Junior--Grades 3-5
Intermediate--Grades 6-8
Senior--Grades 9-12
Teams must be made up of 3-4 4-H members.
Juniors can move up to compete on an Intermediate team, but the team must compete as an Intermediate.
Seniors can only be on teams with Seniors.

COST
$15 per person
If you sold 10 or more raffle tickets in 2024, or are a first-year 4-H'er, then your fees are covered by the Lynn County Adult Leaders Association. If you register for the contest but do not end up competing, then you will be responsible for reimbursing your entry fee and will receive an invoice from Lynn County 4-H.
If you did not sell raffle tickets, then you will be responsible for paying your entry fee. You will receive an invoice from Lynn County 4-H. If you end up not competing, then you are still responsible for paying the entry fee. Those fees are not returned once registration has been completed.
Please ignore any invoices/requests for payment that come from anyone other than Lynn County 4-H.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Remind App will be used to communicate with teams and parents during the contest. To join, text 81010 and in the message type the applicable code (if you have multiple age groups, please join the Remind for each age division they are competing in):

Juniors: @d2djr
Juniors & Intermediates will be given a cost/value of the original items. Seniors teams will NOT receive this information.
SENIORS -- The first place winners in each category will advance to Texas 4-H Roundup on June 5, 2025.
Juniors & Intermediates will be provided with a copy of the D2D Performance Properties in Fibers & Fabric Resource. Seniors will NOT be given this resource.

This contest is open only to Senior 4-H'ers who advance from the District 2 contest.
If your team did not qualify for state, but you would like to compete as an individual in the Invitational Duds to Dazzle contest, please see the Duds to Dazzle Solo Invitational Contest page.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Teams of 3-4
60 minutes to create your item and prepare your presentation. This also includes clean up.
Each team will have 5 minutes to present to the judges. Then, the judges can have up to 3 minutes to ask questions.
Examples of past mystery items have been: a prom dress, pair of jeans, beach towel, stock show awards banner, reusable grocery bag
There is a "supply closet" available with extra craft and sewing items that can be incorporated into the final product.
Teams will be judged during the Preparation Time in addition to the presentation.
Questions may be asked from the Possible Interview Questions list, but judges may also ask teams questions that are related to the item they made.
Three Categories (which will be revealed at contest):
Wearable--clothing that is suitable to be worn by people or pets. Examples include shirt, coat, vest, dress, costume, leggings, swimsuit cover, etc.
Accessory/Jewelry--an article or set of articles that can be added to an outfit to make it more useful, versatile, or attractive. Examples include apron, earrings, purse, headband, hat, belt, necklace, etc.
Non-Wearable--an item that is not suitable to be worn. Examples include a pillow, towel, jewelry pouch, cellphone case, stuffed animal, doll clothes, Christmas stocking, etc.
Resource materials--each team will be provided a Planning & Presentation Worksheet. Juniors & Intermediates will also be given the D2D Performance Properties in Fibers & Fabric Resource. All other resources are not allowed.
