Texas 4-H Photography Ambassador

 WHAT IS A PHOTOGRAPHY AMBASSADOR?

The Texas 4-H Photography Ambassador Program provides opportunities to grow in the photography project through community service, workshops, training sessions, field trips, and leadership/citizenship activities. Photography Ambassadors serve in the photography corps at state-level events, taking event photographs. To become an ambassador, members must first complete the requirements to become a Junior Master Photographer.

 HOW IT WORKS

There are two Junior Master Photographer (JMP) workshops conducted each fall that are open to intermediate and senior age divisions.  Youth who attend both workshops, pass a test, and complete a few prescribed activities can attain JMP certification.  Once a certified JMP reaches 9th grade or higher, they can then apply to become an ambassador (with no additional training required).  In a nutshell, the JMP program is the training ground and pathway to becoming a photography ambassador.  More details about the JMP workshops will be released in the summer.
